Massolino, Barbaresco “Albesani” DOCG 2021

Barbaresco “Albesani” DOCG 2021 from Massolino is an exceptionally elegant, structured wine, produced from 100% Nebbiolo, grown in the prestigious Albesani vineyard in the Neive area, Piedmont. This terroir is known for its limestone and clay soils and southwestern exposure, which contribute to the wine’s complexity and depth.
The wine stands out with a deep garnet-red color with ruby glints. The aromatic profile is rich and multi-layered, including notes of cherries, raspberries, roses, lavender, mint and licorice. On the palate it is fresh and juicy, with pronounced tannins and bright acidity, promising excellent ageing potential. The finish is long and spicy, with nuances of spice and dried fruit.
Recommended to be served at a temperature of 18-20°C and pairs excellently with game dishes, mature cheeses and truffle specialties. The wine is suited for drinking after 2026 and has ageing potential up to 2040.
