1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a small text file or data package sent by our website to your device (computer, laptop, tablet, mobile phone) for storage when you visit www.decantuswines.com.

Cookies allow the Online Store to recognize your device, remember your preferences over a period of time (such as language, login details, items added to the shopping cart), and ensure proper functioning of our technical features.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

We use different types of cookies to operate the website smoothly, optimize user experience, and analyze web traffic:

  • Essential (Necessary) Cookies:

These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function properly. They allow you to navigate the website and use essential features, such as accessing secure areas, managing your User Profile, and keeping products in your shopping cart during checkout. These cannot be disabled in our systems.

  • Functional Cookies:

These enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They remember choices you make (such as your preferred language, region, or currency) to provide a more convenient browsing experience.

  • Performance & Analytical Cookies:

These cookies collect aggregated, anonymous information about how visitors interact with our Online Store (e.g., which pages are visited most often, traffic sources, time spent on site). We use tools like Google Analytics to analyze this data to improve website performance and user experience.

  • Marketing & Advertising Cookies:

These cookies track your online activity to help advertisers deliver more relevant advertisement campaigns or limit how many times you see an ad. They are set through our site by third-party advertising partners (such as Facebook / Meta and Google Ads).

3. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

When you visit www.decantuswines.com, third-party services integrated into our site may set their own cookies on your device. These external domains include:

Decantus Wines does not directly control third-party cookies. For full details on how these third parties handle your data, please inspect their respective privacy and cookie policies.

4. HOW LONG ARE COOKIES STORED?

Cookies remain on your device for varying durations depending on their category:

  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser or log out of the site.

  • Persistent Cookies: Remain stored on your device until a defined expiration date is reached or until you manually delete them from your browser cache.

5. HOW CAN YOU CONTROL OR DELETE COOKIES?

You have full control over whether to accept or decline cookies:

  • Cookie Consent Banner:

When you first access our website, you are presented with a cookie consent banner where you can choose to accept all cookies, customize your preferences, or accept only essential cookies.
